Eccovi il racconto di questa famiglia che ha avuto un grande coraggio di vita.
Ben e io ci siamo conosciuti al college, eravamo nello stesso gruppo FHE e siamo diventati amici. Era facile parlare con noi e ci siamo divertiti molto insieme. Dopo un paio di mesi abbiamo iniziato a frequentarci, ci siamo innamorati e ci siamo sposati. Siamo sposati da 5 anni.
Sono rimasta incinta di William dopo circa un anno di matrimonio. Will è stata una sorpresa, era la mia prima gravidanza. Abbiamo scoperto che la testa e il cervello di Will non si stavano sviluppando correttamente quando ero incinta di 23 settimane. Ci è stato detto che non sarebbe sopravvissuto alla gravidanza, ma abbiamo deciso di portare a termine l'intero mandato. William è nato e ha fatto meglio del previsto, ma aveva ancora bisogno di molti interventi medici. Era un dentro e fuori dall'ospedale per il primo anno della sua vita.
Ci siamo trasferiti dall'Idaho allo Utah per essere più vicini a quelli della Primaria per volontà di Will. Ben ottenne il primo lavoro che riuscì a trovare e finì la laurea, ho iniziato la scuola per infermieri poco dopo.
Ben e io abbiamo deciso che volevamo avere un altro bambino. È stato spaventoso e un enorme balzo di fede. Poco dopo aver deciso, ho avuto un aborto spontaneo. Abbiamo provato per un paio di mesi senza fortuna e, una volta deciso di arrenderci, ho scoperto di essere incinta di Livie.
Mi sono diplomato alla scuola materna e ho iniziato a lavorare. Ben ha lasciato il lavoro in cui lavorava da quasi 4 anni per sostenere la nostra famiglia quando Will è nato ed è rimasto a casa per fare una pausa.
Livie era una gravidanza di routine a basso rischio che si adattava perfettamente alla nostra vita in continua evoluzione e frenetica. Lei e William divennero rapidamente amici.
Ben è stato accettato all'Università dello Utah e inizierà la lunga strada per diventare farmacista ad agosto.
Adoro guardare indietro e vedere fino a che punto siamo arrivati. tutte le lotte che ci portano a dove siamo. e sono entusiasta di vedere dove andremo dopo. questa famiglia si occupa di adattarsi, amarsi, e sapere che possiamo fare cose difficili. Amiamo Dio, Gesù Cristo e gli altri.

Ben and I met in college, we were in the same FHE group and we became friends. He was easy to talk to, and we had a lot of fun together. After a couple months we started dating, fell in love, and got married. we have been married for 5 years. •
I got pregnant with William after about a year of marriage. Will was a surprise, and my first pregnancy. We found out Will’s head and brain wasn’t developing properly when I was 23 weeks pregnant. we were told he wouldn’t survive the pregnancy but decided to carry full term. William was born and did better than expected, but still needed a lot of medical intervention. he was in and out of the hospital for the first year of his life. •
We moved from Idaho to Utah in order to be closer to Primary Children’s for Will. Ben got the first job he could find and finished his bachelors degree, I started nursing school soon after.

Ben and I decided we wanted to have another baby. It was scary and a huge leap of faith. Soon after we decided, I had a miscarriage. We tried for a couple months with no luck, and once we decided to give up, I found out I was pregnant with Livie. •
I graduated from nursing school and started working. Ben quit his job that he was working at for almost 4 years to support our family when Will was born and stayed home to take a break. •
Livie was a low-risk routine pregnancy that fit perfectly into our ever-changing, fast paced life. Her and William became quick friends. •
Ben was accepted at the University of Utah and will start the long road to become a pharmacist in August. •
I love looking back and seeing how far we’ve come. all the struggles that lead us to where we are. and I am excited to see where we will go next. this family is all about adapting, loving each other, adventure, and knowing we can do hard things. We love God, Jesus Christ, and each other. •
